Los Angeles Women in Music is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to fostering equal career opportunities for women and men in the music industry and to promoting the advancement of women through empowerment, support, education, encouragement and recognition of their achievements.
Our widely diverse membership includes recording artists, musicians, singers, songwriters, composers, producers, engineers, attorneys, publishers, agents, managers, publicists, stylists, and accountants; representatives of the video, multimedia, and film industries; and personnel from radio, record companies, and recording rights societies.

Women at the Top - panels & seminars introducing prominent creative and executive women representing all areas of the music business. Workshop Series - an informal, "hands on" setting with industry professionals, covering everything from home recording, songwriting, and music publishing, to the independent artist, legal issues, and the "business" of music.
Singer-Songwriter Night - Monthly live music showcase for singer-songwriters at prominent industry club.
Indie Nation - A professional trade show featuring industry panels, educational workshops, key music vendors and other service specialists for the independent artist.
Annual Compilation CD - featuring the "Best Of The Best" artists from our Singer-Songwriter Night.
Young Talent Night - Monthly "live webcast" showcase featuring kids. Funds support LAWIM's "Musical Gifts & Scholarship Program."
